(Chicago,IL - 12 p.m. local time)
He has done it. We have done it. “The skinny kid with a funny name” made his mark on history. I have to admit that seeing Americans vote by such a margin in the popular vote reconfirms my belief in humanity. America is back! People are smarter and wiser in their choice for president than anyone expected.

Every country deserves the president they have and this is a major bounce back - from corruption and cynicism to hope and humility. No fireworks were displayed last night - only a humble reminder that we gotta go to work now. A work that will not be done in a year, a legislative term but in more than a generation.

Obama chose wise words and reminded us that only through the people can change come true and be real. I guess my early question about him keeping it real is answered. I will have to do what he has lived through this campaign and apply this to my life. A belief in positive change and the inert goodness of common people. No more lame excuses or the luxury of cynicism.

Only in America! This victory puts up the stakes for European democracy cause only in America is Obama’s story possible...
