Returning back from my journey into my flat two days ago, I was a bit in a shock. My security lock was tempered with and I was unable to double lock my apartment door. Whoever tried to break in or attempts to scare me, I have to disappoint you freaks out there. Growing up in East Germany with the constant threat of being watched, observed or messed with for political reasons has built up a stoic resistance of some kind. The film theme “life of others” kind of plays rewind in a climate of fear and new world order hegemony. The controllers did not take out anything and my hard drives with the footage are here. So, to all you scare mongers and thieves: get a life, go on a trip, get laid, see the beauty of our planet, become hope mongers and discover yourself!
On a more serious note is the development in regards to another war the US wants to have with Iran. As Amy Goodman and Scott Ritter on this video point out, the statements of Obama and McCain on the Iran question are frighteningly similar. Whatever that means in detail we do not know yet, but the tone sounds very familiar of a Cold War rhetoric that makes the New World order look like a continuation of this policy.
So, it was to no surprise for me that when I asked my father about his feelings on Obama, he declined my interview. Said he was pessimistic and stated that Obama would invade Iran or Pakistan any time soon. For him that means in fact, it is only one step away from invading Sudan, where our extended family lives. For those who remember the Nineties, it was the Clinton administration who bombed an alleged chemical weapon factory, that turned out to be a pharmaceutical plant on the outskirts of Khartoum. After the bomb attacks on the American embassy in Kenya and Tanzania, it looked like the administration had no political strategy in place and was simply showing off to their military might - violating international laws. By throwing randomly some bombs on suspicious “A-raps” (Muslims), the new administration continues a policy of fear and hegemony. Nothing really new under the sun...
