(Denver, Colorado - 6.30 a.m. local time)
The title from this blog entry comes from Chivonnie, a friend of Zak and now mine. She invited us to join her for breakfast with her friends and family today. This blog title is from her organization and sums up best what this week was all about for people who attended this incredible event. An utopian hope was circling through the INVESCO football stadium as through the 85.0000 Democratic supporters stood up together, raised their arms and shouted: YES, WE CAN - again and again. People from all classes, ethnic groups and religious affiliations were brought together this night of celebration. Overwhelming, mesmerizing and inspiring. I sat back in awe and although I hate waving the American flag, this night I wished I had one...

This week in Denver, Colorado was not about Obama, but all about the peoples hearts and their desire to be better than they have been in the past. It is a powerful emotion and a personal, transformational message. So after all the rhetorical bashing and heavy campaigning, we now all have to go home and implement the change that Obama was talking about - if he wins or not is actually secondary in this process. The executive legislation of the government is only a reflection what the collective mind of a great nation thinks deeply in their hearts. Change must start truly inside and the liberation is a spiritual process that needs individual courage.

To see an entire nation like the US on the brink of this historical paradigm shift is very encouraging for mankind. I could see it in the heart of Tony who opened his house to Obama volunteers, I felt it in the hearts of Christina and Ned(Tony’s neighbors), who invited me to stay in their house when they saw me squeezed on Tony’s couch. I could see it when Zak got up at 2 a.m. to drive his colleague home with his car. And I heard it in the voice of Li Yun who wrote a lyrical text about Obama’s speech that moved Tony to tears when she read it out loud. I dedicate this page to the smiles of Chivonnie and her mom Nanci, who reminded me that family is most important, if we want to continue our process of liberation as a people fully.
Peace & check out this!
