(Berlin, Germany - 7 p.m. local time)
Sen.Edwards has taken his time to make up his mind, but the moment is perfect. To end the party divide and to show undecided voters, who he thinks can deliver on a promise - he took a stand in Michigan for Obama. The first half of the speech was about Hillary and then he broke it down to Barack’s change politics.
The timing for Obama could have not been better, since many people seemed to get tired of this endless primary battle and wanted to unite behind one leader. I remember early in my journey across the country (around December), I interviewed a young girl in South Central about the elections. She told me she wished that both of them (Clinton and Obama) should run together. I think her vision will come true, since the white working class voters stand behind Hillary and the more lofty and educated middle class (rainbow coalition) supports Barack. It could be a winning ticket that brings a landslide victory of the Democrats and secure at least 2 legislative periods for the US Democrats in Washington. Who knows?....
