(Berlin, Germany - 2.40 p.m. local time)
In 24 h Texas and Ohio will go to the polls. The media makes this battle transform into a second Super Tuesday. I am bound here on the ground in my studio flat in Prenzlauer Berg with tons of OBAMA RALLY footage. The only contact I have with people on the ground is with lovely Annemarie, who wrote me an email this morning from Texas (that you can read in my blog).
I find it difficult to concentrate on the story line and have decided to cut a 4-5 min trailer with highlights of my trip. Even this proves to be more difficult then I expected.
Shall I use music, sound and images to tell the story without speeches? Or shall I include speeches and interviews in the trailer? Creative chaoas...
I don’t know, I have 5 different versions and none of them really portrays what this journey was about. Fans of Obama will love it, but those with a more critical view on events will hate it...I guess its process.
To satisf¥ those liberal & critical minds out there in the bloggo-sphere that want to engage with the corresponding issues of US foreign policy, that anyone ultimately has to deal with overseas - I published extracts from DEMOCRACY NOW. The visual quality suffers but the sound makes for better information on current OBAMA affairs.
I would love to intersect my docu with expert interviews like this, but will have to leave this debate entirely for the online version on this site due to financial constraints. I think the film grows organically into the website or vice versa and corresponds creating a web 2.0 experience. Where you would suggest further debates about topics, send your thoughts via my email: contactatsattiandsatti.com - that formula you find under: About Me.
