Berlin, Germany - 12 p.m. local time)
I managed to stay awake until 4.30 a.m. to hear Obama’s acceptance speech live on CNN in Texas. After he won in Wisconsin by a margin of 58% against Hillary and hours later with 76% in Hawaii, I feel nobody can stop him now...

My settling into the moody, grey Northern skies of Berlin has been relatively easy, since I have watched my footage on a 23’’ apple cinema display. I am amazed how much I have shot, actually... There is not only all these amazing locations, what sticks out is the sense of enthusiasm and energy that people display across the country talking about Obama. The paradigm shift in politics, that I have explored comes across as a sense historic moment in American society. The tricky part is for me, to convey this message visually to an audience, that does know relatively little about what is going on the ground.

Berlinale Talent Campus, where I was invited to moderate a pannel last week, was beneficial, since I met a couple of young film connoisseurs - that have offered to help me in my post-production efforts. I have invited Sonja, Hannes and Carsten to come and view some of my footage and give a first feedback.

Their feedback at night turned out to be giving me new story ideas and approaches of how to tell the story and get a German audience on board. They all are big fans of Obama and very excited about this film... all good in the hood!
