Spent a great afternoon with Andre’ Leon Gray - a visual artist from Raleigh, who did a visual piece on Obama and called it “The Audacity of Hope”.
We were talking about icons, masks and meaning in his studio - next to the rail tracks in downtown. Amidst old brick buildings, condo’s and night clubs his studio is charming. He talked me through his works. Since this is a blog and people talk, I want to challenge you and see a sneak preview of a couple of shots I took on that afternoon.
